HP... more on y2k...

this is like the bulls and the bears! We will continue to the have doom sayers.....and the people that are concerned... but the most important people that are concerned... the the people in business that are responsible and accountable are the ones that will take action..

Last summer, in July and August, when the markets were in shambles and everywhere I read everything was seemed to be imploding... and I thought 'when in GS' going to DO something....to get this liquidity problem tackled.... And I read article and sites that talked about the similarities of 1929, and 1990, and etc, etc, and I thought "this is in our control... and we know what to do.... and we are waiting on GS" to set the policy and 'move-on'....

Well... I guess I'm seeing the same thing here with y2k... there is a building up of the facts, there is tremendous press.. there is tremendous pressure to remediate the situation (which has been going on for 2 years already)... there is this temporary panic (hopefully short)... and then the correction falls inline. (there are some actual problems and fixes ala LTCM) .. and the rally is strong... IT's CLASIC...

We should probably be worrying more about Saddam Hussein .. Y2k is shoring up nicely.
