Sid, as kind of in the middle of the road consumer I would follow the pattern for purchase of a major item as I always have. When refrigerators were first introduced, ice boxes were used for many years, until the cost and conveniences wer acceptable to the masses. The same with radios, remember when only one person in the whole block had one? We endured the ineffecient black and white television for years before color. How many knew of e-mail and the web ten years ago? It was out there but, it was too expensive and we were not ready for the technology that modern computors offer. The thought that I am trying to convey is that the fuel cell is still in it's infancy, but will grow in demand because it is an improvement (at least in some minds) over the current conversion of fuel to power. Whatever is said on this thread will have little, if any, effect on the developemnt of fuel cell technology, public acceptance may be slow. Think of the the progress in the last two years, then if you asked what a fuel cell was, or who Ballard is, you would get a blank stare. Today most knowledgable persons have heard of fuel cells and their application. The main puurpose of this thread and, with you and others contribution, is to keep apprised of the trends, gain information, in some cases, perhaps try to sway the market. Thanks to all, both pro and con, to give the less knowing of us valuable insight.
