I don't know much about Nicholas Feuillatte. I first bought it during the summer when I was having a champagne tasting with 4 friends who meet periodically to taste and drink champagne. I had decided to have champagnes from Epernay because I had spent a day there in June, and needed one more, so bought the Premier Cru Brut. We all liked it.

Meanwhile, Robert Parker wrote a little about Nicholas Feuillatte in October:

"Two other champagnes that merit attention for their exceptional value are from the house of Nicholas Feuillatte. The superb, dry 1994 Rose Brut (93; $25.00-$30.00) exhibits knock-out aromas of kirsch, framboise and strawberries. It is a terrific dry rose that is reasonably priced. An even better value is the Nicholas Feuillatte non-vintage Reserve Particuliere Brut Premier Cru (91; $20.00-$24.00), a blend of $0% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir, and 20% Chardonnay. This is a deliciously floral, light-bodied, wonderfully subtle yet effervescent champagne that stood out in my tastings as one of the finest values in the non-vintage category."

And then I was lucky to find a store that had them, and for less money. I thought the color of the rose was particularly lovely - light and salmony pink.

Nicolas Feuillante has been imported to the US for only two or three
years, to my knowledge.

There are many more obscure small production champagne houses
that until recently were never sold outside France. Feuillante is,
relatively speaking, well-distributed. Terry Theise
is starting to import some smaller properties. Specialty importers like Kermit Lynch have also been bring in some labels for quite some time.
