Neil, Appreciate the importance of a questioning mind that causes further scrutiny and explanations. However, have not seen the hyping concerning buy-out refusals that on other threads would have littered SI forums. In fact, I was a little surprised at the lack of hype. To further my education: Is it customary for a company that has been turned down on a buy-out offer to invest in the company that refused them? I am sure your knowledge and experience is far greater than mine, but it seems that an investment by them MAY strengthen their competition down the road. Taking an interest in a company, however successful, would be a double edged sword. Please help me to understand. Thanks for your time and consideration on this. Bruce
