Dan, the supply of tungsten is extremely hard track as the commodity is traded in amougst a small community. As for some hints about what may be happening the recent tungsten conference may give us some direction. David Vine, Product Marketing Mgr for Osram Sylvania Products commenting on the world ore supply said that " the potential for a tungsten crisis continued to loom over the industry". Osram has recently asked the US dept. of mines to consider releasing some of their stock piles. This is coming from one of the largest Tungsten consumers in North America. As there is no replacement for Tungsten when the supply side dries up the price move will be quick and dramatic. Also check into Advocet PLC, they are the only publicly traded Tungsten company that I can find. They apparently just closed thier mine! We are not sure why yet but this could contribute to the supply side drying up. It has been a long frustrating hold but the asets are there, replacement cost would be over $4.00 cdn per share. I guess we need to be NTC.COM to get some attention. ha!!
