<<since HTCH has such a commanding lead and market
share...why are others still trying to compete? RDRT's adventure, INVX's Flex tech,
Fujitsu,... Are they all in denial?>>
Fujitsu has had their expensive alternative for awhile. INVX and presumably RDRT have spent very little money to offer flex but also don't have much success to show for their efforts.

<<They are in it too deep to pull out now, but others don't have to follow
the same path.>>
Past TSA expenditures are a sunk cost but, if HTCH thought TSA wasn't the way to go, you better believe they wouldn't be throwing good money after bad by still be adding TSA capacity as fast as possible and would have serious efforts underway to develop any alternative technology they felt was superior.

<<Last I heard TSA ACP was still >$2. Any idea what it is now?>>
Projected for $1.55 for this quarter, for all Pico suspensions, many with expensive extras including prototype quantities. Projected for $1.25 to $1.35 in about a few quarters in high volumes. INVX's claimed cost advantage is BS based on apples to oranges comparisons on something they haven't even qualified.

<<Can you see FC's new company using TSA
components? A $50 DD just won't allow it.
>>

Presumably TSA lowers total drive costs which means Finnis had better be looking at it. Are 5% of drive costs in something as critical as suspensions too high esp when they save considerable assembly and warranty costs ? What do you believe it costs Dell to sell a computer which is defective due to the disk drive which is the most common cause of PC failure? And head disk interface problems, I believe are the most common cause of drive failure. Z
