Did Paul's last couple of posts seem particularly vitriolic to you,or is my imagination? It seems like he really went of the deep end. Maybe he's just not getting the attention he he was once accorded.

crrslvr, It will take at least 1 year for the parts to be qualified by major server users. Even accelerated tests take time to give a 5 year survivability tests.
These servers look after credit cards, medical data, and other accounts of assorted businesses and they want epochs between failures.
You fail and they give you a mean time between failures.

Ever wonder why the military flies such old chips in space? The qualifying to mil spec takes up to five years. There is a move to civilain standards lately though as they have become very reliable.

As Tony says you do not just knock on the door and offer a part 5% less or faster and get a win on the spot.
