crrslvr, It will take at least 1 year for the parts to be qualified by major server users. Even accelerated tests take time to give a 5 year survivability tests. These servers look after credit cards, medical data, and other accounts of assorted businesses and they want epochs between failures. You fail and they give you a mean time between failures. Ever wonder why the military flies such old chips in space? The qualifying to mil spec takes up to five years. There is a move to civilain standards lately though as they have become very reliable. As Tony says you do not just knock on the door and offer a part 5% less or faster and get a win on the spot. Bill
