Tell that to my Y2K remediation folks.
Frank, I've been wondering when the first big Y2K story will break. It might be as soon as Monday, when someone turns on their systems and finds deleted files. Our people found the "99" end-of-file problem some months back, and many records were deleted, fortunately in a Y2K test mode, so everything had been backed up.
I suspect the first real world instance will lead to a feeding frenzy by the press, and depress tech stocks for a week or two, until the press moves on to some other crisis.
As you say, stay tuned :-)
