No, not much to do with tax selling as the stock was at 52 wk high (in fact, all time high) just 2 days ago. I myself took profit on 1/2 position in the 25 - 27 area with the intention to buy back more shares at key support (15 1/2 - 16, prior resistance also intraday triple bottom on Thursday at 15 7/8), which I did on Thursday.

The retracement to 15 7/8 and bounce back to 19 had much to do with the general sector weakness, profit taking and of course, the negative article in the Stock Detective. From my vantage point, I hold the Stock Detective in very high regard but believe the recent writeup on MLRE was both perfunctory and prematurely judgmental, a glaring exception in a site where the authors and owners have maintained very high standards of investigative reporting. Articles of this sort are almost always disconcerting, but it was generated by some honest, though careless mistakes and misconceptions on the part of the author.

As well, many investors were not actively monitoring their positions on Thursday, I suspect. They may not have a chance to digest the full content, context as well as ramifications of the article yet. But the technical picture of MLRE remains strong, with confirmed support at the area I pinpointed above. However, should the stock penetrate this support area on convincing volume in the coming days, then we would have to re-evaluate the situation.

For MLRE to resume its ascend, Robert White would have to make lucid and convincing rebuttal to SD's allegations. I will try to call the company on Monday and see how they intend to proceed in that area. Time permits, I would also try to contact the author of the article to see if we can find more common grounds than differences.

I still like the company, but I would admit that MLRE appears richly valued at $19 at the moment. I, for one, would like to see more progress on the website as well as more disclosures of financial terms of the contracts the company has been announcing.
