rory,

Re: New IPO could have a huge impact on DBCC stock price.

It already has! This is why DBCC which was trading at 5 to 7 a few months ago has skyrocketed to its current trading range... IMHO, the market has already taken most of those "gains" into account. DBCC still has a ways to go, but I hope none here expects a "lockstep" blow by blow advance in price if MarketWatch soars. Remember, we have gone threefold pre-IPO...

JMHO,
SF

I don't think I want to do any analysis on this or similar stocks as it is often an exercise in futility. In situations like these we are dealing with a relatively thin float (oh.. forgot the huge demand) and human psyche and it is often times hard to predict the latter,it could defy logic as evidenced by many instances in the past and even many in the present.

I just go along for the ride for right now and see where it takes me.

Here is a piece of information that I ran across on another thread and it is presented here as seen on the thread less the author's name of course. I personally do not get Business Week and if someone out there does many they can update us all a little more fully on the whole article.

"Just got my Business Week. More talk on upcoming Internets. One will be CBS MarketWatch.Com, designed to be a one-stop shop for all sorts of financial information. CBS will contribute $30 million worth of advertising time. It's a joint venture between CBS and DATA Broadcasting. The IPO will be at the end of January. "Although the IPO is expected to be priced at $10 to $12 a share, some pros believe the stock will blast off after the opening - just like other recent IPO's of Internet outfits that serve robust NICHE markets."
