Dennis, it is one thing to be optimistic about VLNC's propsprects for success and it is quite another to continually post "understandings" and quotes from "knowledgeable sources" that have continually been wrong.

I do not quibble with 99% of the optimistic posts on this thread when it is clear that the basis for the optimism is speculation or official company declarations.

For example, Fred would have had us believe that multiple lines were producing samples for OEM testing when (1) only one line had been installed, and (2) that line was undergoing a "major redesign" which was not disclosed to us until months later at the August '98 conference call.

I have no problem with optimism. But Fred's posts go far beyond optimism, IMO. Fred's sources were telling us that VLNC was "ready to go" shortly before (1) Cal Reed was fired, (2) a problem with the "goo" was described at the March '98 conference call and (3) resulting in a "major redesign" of the single installed line.
