Hi Sunny, great to see you! Recalling there's a battery Co. that you like, what is the ticker again please? - Got some Onsite Consumer Market Info - Car battery sales will probably rocket after this cold snap; AAA guy told me he's never seen so many newer model cars needing a jump (last winter was warm) - so many new cars, so many cheap dealer batteries that don't make it through freezing nights! I've been wrangling with barely starting or jump-starting my 1-year-new Taurus wagon since (what else) day before New Year's Eve. Trying to decide whether it's worth bothering with the dealer, or better to git-go straight to Sears on Monday. I know what some say about Ford, but I just love this car, except for this problem, which the tow truck guy said is just as common with all new car makes except the high-end brands and SUV sports models.
Guess I just answered my own question - Sears It Is - no appointment necessary, convenient.
There's one around here adjacent to the mall for breakfast. From dealer it's 4 block walk in the freezing cold. Sears/2 Dealer/0
Sunny, and all, again, Have A Great 1999! The Fun is Just Beginning!
Joan

Sunny, I'm so glad you made it. You can talk about a shoe company or anything else you like, I don't care or should anyone else. That's what the board is for. It is the same format that AOL and MikeMcIdiot copied from my original thoughts, except we will not have someone who can't pick stocks pushing their stock picks and telling others what they can or can't post. If a shoe company can make someone money then you should post it. The rule is this when it comes to a post you don't like, if you don't like a post, then don't read it and don't give someone a hard time.
One thing I really like about this SI board format is that stealth readers send private post that show in your inbox. I've had private mail from a few people I'd like to see post on the board. I met one guy from Hawaii who is tracking AOL. Anyone who has been smart enough to be into internets (esp. AOL) could add something to any board.
Also I plan on asking a few people from the old board to join us. We shall vote on who we ask, one at a time. We are building the internet's best board for stocks and life and we should be careful not to invite a self-promoting human virus type and thus the few people in the world like him (birds of a feather). We really should have no problems. I won't allow it. All it takes is one phone call to pull the plug.
Anyway, if it is alright with the gang, I'm going to invite DJ (DJarman101) to our new digs, he can add much. He knows stocks and life. I've always liked him and respected his opinions. Let me know what you think, this will be a wild month and DJ's opinions may help.
Ifn we have to fight The Beast again I want DJ with us, the guy is cool under fire. I will always remember last year when most freaked, DJ and I let fly on The Beast with major loads of OO-CASH. We hit The Beast right between the eyes and The Beast Market turned into a cash cow. Let me know what you all think. BLUE
