As long as we are talking TA here, how can you call this a formidable base? To me it looks like a counter trend rally stalling at the 8 dollar resistance level. With the long term and intermediate trends down, trying to call a bottom here before the 8's are decisively pierced and then hold on selloffs are highly premature in my very humble but technically educated opinion.

additionally, a quick glance at their last Q doesn't scream bottom here either.

However, a decisive breakout over 8 would indicate a bottom, and provided 8 held on any subsequent profit taking or renewed short selling, then I would agree, your bottom was confirmed.

Tom, your technical analysis is definitely adding to the robustness of the thread. Much appreciated. Could you tell us more about your approach to small cap stocks trading more than 100K shr/day?

I am pleased that you have determined that ECD is strong
technically & should shortly pass $8. However, being an
investor following the fundamental businesses of ECD very
closely, I continue to believe that $8 or $20 does not
come close to the value of ECD. Every aspect of the
business, other than the manufacture of negative electrodes,
has improved since ECD was $30, a few years ago. If you
look at the solar business, the rewriteable media, or the
battery business currently compared to 3 years ago, you
will notice breathtaking improvements in all areas. It
might be a good refresher if all the contributors to this
board commented on the progress they have seen in these &
other areas.
