>>there was a lot more than "I can't recall" in Iran-contra.

Only from appointed officials, who were then indicted, prosecuted and (for the most part) convicted. Otherwise they couldn't have been pardoned. If you will go back and look, the original post you cited referred to elected officials. And the elected officials involved were never even charged with perjury (or any other crime), much less impeached. And this in spite of a partisan attempt to find absolutely anything to discredit them with.

>>Does it have anything to do with anything other than the Jones/Lewinsky soap opera?

It has to do with the Supreme Court sanctioned legally executed civil suit filed by Paula Jones, and Bill Clinton's misleading testimony filed in a deposition in response to that suit. It also has to do with Clinton's subsequent attempts to hide evidence that might damage his testimony and to influence potential witnesses into corroborating his testimony. If you want to view it as a "soap opera," that's your problem, but it is much more than that.

And as I said before, Iran-contra has absolutely nothing to do with Clinton's situation. You're clearly grasping at straws.
