And the elected officials involved were never even charged with perjury (or any other crime), much less impeached. It has to do with the Supreme Court sanctioned legally executed civil suit filed by Paula Jones, and Bill Clinton's misleading testimony filed in a deposition in response to that suit. It also has to do with Clinton's subsequent attempts to hide evidence that might damage his testimony and to influence potential witnesses into corroborating his testimony. If you want to view it as a "soap opera," that's your problem, but it is much more than that. And as I said before, Iran-contra has absolutely nothing to do with Clinton's situation. You're clearly grasping at straws.
