NBR mentioned last night a golf fund just starting out. Didn't catch the name and the closing chat between Suzy and Paul Kangas isn't reproduced on their website. But it might be buying some TRND -- they have to put their money somewhere and there aren't many golf-related stocks out there.

Here, here. I know I'd have no problema ordering stuff either. Heck, I may even get into wordworking someday.

As TRND diminishes the role of catalog sales in its revenue mix, it seems a no-brainer that e-commerce fill some of that void and likely attract new customers. I'd expect some aggressive pricing, maybe even a frequent buyers, members-only, special pricing/shipment option. The possibilities are awesome, and doing business via the net is a heck of lot less costly than printing and mailing hundreds of thousands of catalogs yielding a 3.5% hit rate.

Here's to hoping they get it together in a big way in 1999!
