"Just wondering why you put WCOM in "the moment" with AOL and Dell? "

When I listed MSFT, INTC, and CSCO, I was describing companies that owned major technological standards with tremendous barriers to competitive entry. As such they are genuine gorillas.

AOL, Dell and WCOM are taking great advantage of this "moment" in market history. They are providing market leadership at a time when
a discontinuous innovation (internet-voice over ip etc.) is nearing hypergrowth. They don't own the standards. They succeed because of strategic decision, technical excellence and process execution. In any case they are kings for the moment. In this case I think the "moment" might last for another two or three years. All are market leaders in the expanding digital age.

IMHO of course
