Donald, I think that any conclusions on market moves based on Dec. 31 1998 date may be proven wrong.

Several mid-cap and small-cap stocks had a substantial run during the last half hour of trading to the upside.

On the other hand several big cap had a run down during same time frame.

Therefore I would take the market internals with a grain of salt.

Have been reading your updates for months and I appreciate them.

Note that the Russel 2000 has been moving lately-- a very positive sign I believe. It jumped ten points Thursday, to 422. Also 146 new highs vs. 31 new lows.

Is there a broad move up in our future?
