I have never defended nor condone his actions and have said so in earlier posts. The ignorant people, as was alluded to in Post #9903, exist on both sides of this issue. I ONLY defend the fact that he should be given his rights under the law.

If he stepped down I would have no problem with that (applaud it in fact), but that has to be his decision. I have read most of the posts on this thread and become totally disgusted with the majority of them. I see a mob mentality and even with a 'guilty' person I realize that is wrong.

You can't compare his to other jobs. When I was young I used to compare myself to civilians and get quite upset. I am retired from the Army and just the allegations would have caused my removal from command, but as we know rules vary.

Has he lost his capacity to be an efficient commander? Sure he has. Most is his fault but the Congress is not blameless. They are elected and paid to run this country. Just because the President is a jerk is no reason not to do that job and deadlock this country.
