Compaq may have taken some market shares of desktop computers from Dell, but not those of notebooks. Considering the significant rising in notebook sales during this holiday season, Compaq may need to cut prices on its notebooks so as to catch up the its competitors. BTW, Compaq only ranked as number 97 among the top 100 information technology companies as a piece of recent news. SAP in Europe ranked as number one and Microsoft as number 2.

DS,

SIII had fallen on some hard times, I got out of it quite some time ago, but I still follow the stock. It's purely a turnaround play at this point. I was lucky to get out and make a few bucks before the thing tanked, at these levels, 1000 shares or so may not be a bad play. They have some good products.
