X,

I also wouldn't vote for someone based on their private sexual relationships (I hope I didn't give that impression). I think most Americans also feel this way, which explains the 70% job approval ratings (Clinton defenders have successfully fooled many into believing this is "just about sex" -- Repeat a lie often enough...)

Also, I don't mean to suggest that just because Republicans tend to be "moral absolutists" that they necessarily have more honesty or integrity, just that their principles guide their actions in these matters (though many are, as I said, hypocritical and self-rightious).

>>Far from being a witch-hunt, I think this is a case that tests just how lax we are willing to be with a charismatic leader that does wrong.<<

Well said! I am constantly amazed (disturbed) by how much style trumps substance these days.

I hope America's next president, be he democrat, republican, or reform, has more integrity. Perjury and obstruction of justice (which the evidence seems to support) by the country's commander-in-chief should not be overlooked just because the economy is going strong.

JMHO

Regards,

Adamson

BTW - >>LOL<< (last post) why? just curious...
