Thanks Bill,

I was going to look up on that before commenting on it. Didn't seem right. NetCentre + AOL certainly has a higher usage, but NetCentre alone or AOL alone falls behind. I'll look up the numbers and post them - tomorrow.

Rgds.

Bill,

most likely from the same source that told her Yahoo has no large name merchants on its site. :)

<<Marion, get your facts straight. Where did you get the ideas that Netcenter has more users and generates more revenues than Yahoo?>>

I should have clarified that. Netscape made 48 million in revenue last quarter from the NetCenter site, Yahoo also made 48 million (53 million less 5 million in investment income) So actually, they are comparable.
As for the number of users, I get different numbers from different companies, so I am not really sure what is accurate. The point is, it appears that many of these sites have the roughly the same amount of viewers. They are comparable.
NetRatings: Depending on the month, and week, has shown Netscape, Microsoft and Yahoo as number one at different times.
Media Metrix shows Yahoo as number one, and sometimes AOL..COM as number one, once again depending on the week or month. But Media Metrix has also shown that Yahoo has lost users this year.
100hot.com: They show Netscape as number one and have been for months. (which is what I referred to in the post)
