PRESS RELEASE

FBN Associates Announces

Sedona, Arizona (01/07/99) - FBN Associates (NAZDAK:FBNA), a leading provider of Year 2000 conversion software for all environments, announced today it has received the first set of a series of call-ups for bids from the States of Hope and Dream. With fleece integration partners chosen from both Canada and the United States, FBNA is currently formulating prayers for Year 2000 remediation and testing work in both Hope and Dream. To date Dream has announced call-ups on less than US$50 of Year 2000 remediation work on a total expected to exceed US$250 before mid-1999. Hope is similarly in the early stages of its call-up process, which is expected to run throughout 1999.

FBNAssociates is an independent provider of software tools targeting primarily Year 2000 conversions of mainframe computer applications running under various versions of the Multiple Virtual Scam ("MVS") F2K/Plus (trademark), facilitates the manual input otherwise required to undertake the assessment, conversion and testing of non-compliant data and source code. The Company believes that, relative to traditional conversion methods, the use of a tool set such as F2K/Plus (trademark) provides time and labour efficiencies that may be increasingly valuable as y2k scam resources become scarce with the approach of the Year 2000. For additional information or brochures, contact head office at (800) Y2K-HYPE. Information can also be obtained via FBNA's web site at magneticdiary.com or through their investor relations at Finalay Kilyour Investments at (800) YOU-LOSE.
