Well well well.........

I leave for a couple of days and come back to see Kris and Doug finally agreeing on something....maybe things do look better this new year :>)

Just awoke from my new year's eve slumber and have to add my 2cents. I would have to say that a short sell-off is to be expected in the internet sector however like others, I believe that the sell-off will be short lived. Remember the last time we were sold off it came back quite nicely. However...I also agree that poor numbers could spell the death blow for BII and may end the party in other stocks of this sector. Remember, the nay-sayers have been saying for three months now that the bubble is about to burst...poor numbers may be the needle that burst that bubble once and for all.

In my opinion, I'm guessing that the cable deal announcement will come with the 4th quarter numbers therefore I don't expect anything until the third or fourth week of January. I may be wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if the folks controlling this thing wait out the correction rather than try to stop it with news because the sell off will be strong and won't be stopped with news.

Then again, I may be completely wrong and we might be looking at 6 bucks in two weeks. :)

Good luck to all. Talk to you later.

Frank

In 1999 the best news I heard so far that will benefit BID.COM and all the rest in Internet E-commerce is that there are a phenomenol "67,000 new people moving onto the Internet every day"!!. Now if that isn't room for optimism, I'd like to know what is? Keep in mind Waldo's last statement on this thread for 1998 - he said in his "over 18 years of investing, BII is close to being the best ever". According to the experts by the year 2003 business-to-business will get the largest slice of that $1 Trillion projected USA Internet sales. What company is more advanced in this area than BID.COM? I would say not to many, did I read somewhere BID.COM is after spending over $30 million in this area? What North American Auction House will be set up in Europe ahead of BID.COM trying to get a grab of those $$ EURO Dollars, I would say they will be the first.?? There is one thing we can't deny BID.COM is pretty good in the "Thinking Ahead Department".!!
