Reply received from Victor re Mondex Pilot:

"IVI Checkmate will have a smart card terminal involved in the Sherbrooke
project, which will be capable of handling both debit and smart card
transactions. As you know, both Royal Bank and Caisse Desjardins are key
customers of ours in Canada and we have very good relationships with both
of them.

IVI Checkmate is currently focused on the retail/banking sector, and not in
the home."
