John,

Your broker can probably allow you to short OTC-BB stocks intraday because the way your account is set up allows you to circumvent the system. However, shorting of these stocks is not permissable in the U.S.

The naked shorting through Canada is now resulting in numerous suits contending stock manipulation and fraud. I am personally aware of one BB stock that has a 3.3 MM share float and it appears that there is a naked short position of over 10MM shares. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

There is NOTHING illegal about shorting any stock on any excahnge in the US...if you can borrow it or find a Firm that will alow you to trade it.

It is up to you to determine if the risks are suitable/.

John and Dacoola, thanks....The reason I was wondering about shorting OTC BB is that I frequently found some unlisted companies had soared to close to 10 or above with all the pure hypes and hypes and these are the safest bet for shorting because no serious investors will pay such high prices for unlisted companies, at least for a while...As far as shorting AMZN and even AOL, I am quite cautious and a little scary...The Street loves them alot...They may be down a little one or two days with the market and then up big when market recovers!!! Good Trading..FV
