Reseller,

There are some issues with regard to compatibility with a printer's status monitor software (eg HP status monitor software). I don't use HP's status monitor software, electing instead to use the print manager built into Windows.

There are also some issues with regard to printer drivers that use bi-directional communication. If there are problems, the user's manual describes how to disable bi-directional communication to the printer.

The parallel port incompatibility statement on the box recommends that you do not daisy chain a PP Zip drive to the Clik! drive, though daisy chaining your printer is ok.

I wonder whether two PP Zip drives could successfully be daisy chained. Has anyone ever tried this?

regards,

Philip

"An internal IDE version of the Orb currently is shipping to OEMs and systems integrators, and a SCSI version will start shipping this month, said Fishman. External parallel port and SCSI versions, targeted at the VAR and retail markets, also are expected to ship next month, the company said."
