Debra, First of all let me say thanks for reading the posts. You obviously took the time to analyze what was said, as well as doing the research on the companies I listed. Before responding to your posts, I'd like to say that I've found your posts to be very insightful. And despite the fact our analysis of the markets has us on opposite sides of the fence, I think your opinions are grounded in experience. Our goals here should never be about finding agreement. With that said: My comments about stocks closing at the end of the trading week on heavy volume was directed at the NAZ 100 stocks. The sector that has led this recent rally. It has seen an unprecedented amount of money pouring into it. It also has huge institutional ownership. So I agree with you about the smart money leaving stocks early, however, when I see these kinds of moves in prices as well as the amounts of money that has poured into them lately, I have to believe that when these stocks correct, they will do so on very large volume. Looking back on the historical charts of these companies, big corrections were usually accompanied by an increase in volume. Regarding your disclaimer for my stock picks: Any warning that may prevent someone, especially a experienced investor, from loosing money is appreciated. I don't think anyone should follow another's advice regarding which stock to buy or do I think anyone should move their retirement money around because someone on this thread is bullish or bearish. We all live and die by are own actions. My tolerance level might be different than yours. That doesn't make my way any better or worse than yours. Its just different. They are many ways to view risk. Buying a internet stock at a 300 PE that won't make a dime for two years might make sense to someone, while that utility stock that pays a healthy dividend might be all someone can stomach. Of course theres risk associated with the stocks on my list. But then again so is AMZN at its current price. The one thing that I've realized over the years is that you and I are on the outside. We don't have access to all the information needed to tilt the odds in our favor. My approach in trading is to simply level the playing field a little. The combination of insider trading and good technical analysis offers me an advantage over just picking up the newspaper and picking a stock. These stocks also offer the small investor the one thing that they don't have with DELL or CSCO - Leverage. Just some thoughts. Have a great night! SO
