Larry, the only good looking girl left at the dance without a date will be NXTL. PSC is tied to Sprint, which has buy back right for 5 years, I believe, and there is no way that Sprint is going to allow a sale to WCOM.

WCOM could buy a couple of smaller wireless companies and put together a national footprint, but doubt if they will. My guess is that WCOM is in a panic now and will make a run at ATI(remember how they ended up with MCI?). This will probably fail and they will be forced to partner up with NXTL. But they better move fast because there are rumors around that NXTL is talking to VOD, British Telecom and/or Seimens.

Did you see the movement and volume on NXTL's stock on Thursday. Two moves, first caused by rating on Partners Program debt(Partners is a separate entity owed partly by N to build out secondary wireless markets) and second caused by Fabers story on BA/ATI. Should be an interesting week for Nextel, WCOM and ATI.

I got a feeling that BA has tied up ATI, so WCOM may have to move faster than it wanted too. Take a look at Business Week last week re Nextel.
