Nancy, Instead of fighting the Jews can't they work it out? The history books show that the Jews were forced from this land like the Indians and that was wrong. I know it was a long time ago but they have suffered since and that also should stop. Working it out has to be done by both parties, and the initiative should come from the stronger. I am well aware of what has been done to the Jews, but I do not think it begins to justify what the Jews have done to the Palestinians. How can Auschwitz justify Deir Yassein? It cannot. Nothing can. Just because I do not buy Emiles myth-system does not mean I believe that Israeli conduct is justifiable. I hope you can also see both sides of this equation, as American Jews have a very real part to play in persuading the Israeli leadership to sincerely pursue peace. Steve
