To all on BB/"Penny" stocks: Liquidity can dry up on these in a flash and to beat the MM you need a bigger vault of money (good pt, Taki). To increase/give appearance of greater liquidity, the stock is hyped until the hypers get out and you are stuck holding the bag. If a daytrader you need liquidity on a DAILY basis, not average over past 5 days or month or 3 months. Otherwise, your "daytrade" becomes a hold OR you get stuck selling at somewhere inbetween or at the Bid of a, typically, wide spread. In good times, ppl typically will buy things they would not normally do and that includes BB's. Again, tho, that liquidity can dry up very fast. I would do a BB if I had good knowledge of the co and spoke with managment and felt OK with it and that's just minimum of criteria I'd use.
