Investing With: Jim Callinan of Robertson Stephens Emerging Growth

Last summer Callinan paid $12 each for shares of Knight/Trimark Group of Jersey City, N.J., parent of Knight Securities, a market maker that buys and sells 6,500 Nasdaq stocks. He bought more after the price fell to about $7 at the end of August. The stock traded last week at $$23.9375. Callinan considers Knight/Trimark an Internet-related play because half of its business is in stock trades for online brokers like Etrade.

He estimates that Knight/Trimark's earnings will grow from 92 cents a share in 1998 to $1.60 in 2000 and that the stock will be trading this time next year at 15 times 2000 earnings, or $24.

lebo: Regarding CNDS Cellnet Data Services.
I've been charting this stock, amongst others, for the past six weeks or so.
The Daily Chart is starting to look good with a Stochastic buy signal and improving MACD
However, the Weekly Chart still doesn't give me confidence that it's on its way back up.

Know nothing of the fundamentals though.
