>>What i disagree with is the serious disrespect so many have for the position of President and the right every person has to due process. Maybe it is my military background, but you don't have to like or even respect your commander (it helps if you atleast respect him), he is nonetheless, THE commander.<<

Well said, John. It bothers me more than I can say that so many people show such a complete lack of respect for the leader of their country. This cannot make us, as a people, look good in the eyes of other countries.

You can disagree with Clinton, you can dislike him or even hate him, but in my opinion, making crude jokes, obsessing over details of his sex life and promoting the idea of punishing him without due process is the same as spitting on the Constitution. We have the right to do any of these things, of course, (except punishing him without due process -- though we do have the right to promote the IDEA) but that doesn't mean we SHOULD. I firmly believe that I have the right to burn or trample on the American flag, but I will never do it -- because of a little thing known as DECENCY.

Johnny, how in the hell can you ask anyone, yourself in particular, to respect THE commander when:

1: His ardent defenders admits that his conduct is reprehensible.

2: He has demeaned the Presidency. We ain't in disrespect for THE OFFICE, in fact, we want to protect THE OFFICE from a felon.

Your military background should make you incensed that he cut and run to let others fight when his turn came!!!!! Take a walk in any military cemetery look at the rows of crosses, think hard about what this F---g Coward did and ask me to respect HIM. I tell you what, give me 5 minutes hand to hand combat with this coward and I'm over 60, I'll whip his sorry ass!!! You can respect him all you want, very damn few in the military do.

John, just based on what he has admitted he should resign if he really cared about the country. He obviously puts his own selfish desires ahead of his patriotism to the country he wants to run. Therefore, I don't need a trial to wish he would leave. Further, I agree he should have a fair trial but I also believe I have heard enough to have conviction that he is guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice. Crimes! Most people who defend him make every attempt to change the charge to an invasion of his "bedroom." First, he avoided that charge. But, his sexual encounters were in our oval office among other public properties while he was on duty. I have a sinking feeling in my stomach when I think that our invasion of Iraq may have been more designed to divert attention than for the stated reasons. Also, the bombing of Chad and Afghanistan. I know Hussein is bad but I wonder about the timing of the bombings. In summary, my thoughts are it was a sad day for America when he became our President and Commander in Chief.
