Voltaire - do you really see 6 points this month ? Seems like a lot considering how it's come from the mid 60's to where it is now in a relatively short time - of course it took a while to breakout of that trading range 62 - 65 ! IMHO

Voltaire --- seeing long term holders jump ship for the 'nets only assists the price in staying down. Much of the new money pouring into the mkt through institutions has also headed that direction. Many feel some of the 'net issues are overvalued- hell, I did a long time ago but adding them was a key part of any portfolio in '98.

I believe it will continue as the 'net issues will continue to run. If the 'nets crash they have a long way down to go and may bring quality issues with them as margins are called for large losses.

My point is, as long as DELL does not perform like DELL we are in a circle that will keep the price from rising as normal...

I am considering adding to my 'net holdings-- by selling 1/2 of my DELL holding ..... keeping the circle going,,,

Voltaire,

There will be a small drop before the appreciation. Not to worry. Look for 80 to 90 by the end of the quarter.

The chart looks terrible for the next two weeks. Great buying opportunity.

Is it cold on that porch? Close to freezing here in Houston.

I see it a little different than you...5-6-7 pts for Jan

I see money leaving the internet stocks and planting into Dell .There has been some equity built in some folks portfolios from the nets but there have been some tremendous monies lost with those folks who bought high..The big players will want a company like Dell for its past performance.
Lets face it...Dell is a money cow..period.The nets are still in infancy and could have a miscarriage at any moment..I am a bull by all means but a drop of bad news can start the panic selling like wildfire..There are a couple of nets like Amzn and Aol which are close to their highs and are very vulnerable..50 pt drops by the time you go to the pottie..yes they come back but are they overvalued enough to where..recovery could be a little harder..Where will the market go this yr...hmmm.. I say dow 10000 at least...maybe 11000
When I checked a few minutes ago..Japan/ China were taking a butt whipping..What will folks sell if a selloff starts..yes..The ones where they have something to protect. that happen overnight....no base...Dell has been there and done that.....Dell has formed as good base and it can with stand the weather. a little better..IMO
So I guess what I am saying is ..Dell may surprise all the folks who under estimate the greatest/pioneer internet stock in the history of time.I would say at the rate of 15 million dollars a day in sales...7 days a week.....I donot love the stock but I have reaped the rewards as you have...Dell will hit 80 this week..which is in line with your guess..BUT...I wouldn't be shocked if we hit 90...History has a way of repeating its self..Last yr..sell sell sell..so volatile..Then the run came and 2 splits in 1 yr..Everyone was so negative until boooooooom..

Ps.My wife is concerned about the Euro dollar and upcoming events that may affect the stock market. She has studied Bible prophecy for many years and the Euro dollar are all prophecies that she believes are being fullfilled before our very eyes. I don't know but she makes sense..I say...Keep some cash on hand incase we get a good dip..
