explain to me why this company trades at .005 - actually it barely trades at all.

African Selection Mining Corp AFSM.UShares issued 10,525,5091998-12-16 close $0.005Tuesday Jan 5 1999The Financial Post reports in its Tuesday edition that African Selection Mining says that under a subscription and option agreement made with Golden Eagle Mining on Sept. 14, the put option has been exercised. Golden Eagle will buy 500,000 units of African Selection at 40 U.S. cents each, for gross proceeds of $200,000 (U.S.). Each unit consists of one common share of African Selection and a common share purchase warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to buy one common share at 40 U.S. cents apiece until Sept. 16.
