>>>PE's for Inut are out of sight but nevertheless they represent the companies present value based on income.<<<<

Chief, I agree with you from the perspective of those that are current making profits, therefore PEs become meaningful even if totally absurd. But for those that are speculative based on three years from now and do not yet have earnings, PEs are irrelevant. UBID is the best example of that. $20M for latest quarter but not a penny in profit but still a share price over $100, for now anyway.

I guess I'm of the opinion that we have a subgroup that may trade up or down independently of the rest from time to time purely based on speculation. BII is probably headed for this subgroup first before it really starts playing, and trading, like the bug guys.

Chief, If the US$13 billion Internet E-Commerce sales of 1998 in the USA hits 1 Trillion by the year 2003 like the pros say, E-Commerce sales will have increased in 4 years time 77 times what it was in 1998.!! With 67,000 new people coming on the Internet every day I can see it.!! You said if BID.COM was valued at US$50.00/sh. they would have a prediction multiple on gross sales 112 times their gross earnings of $20,000,000. In the meantime did you say EBAY has a multiple on gross sales of 1600, that's one hell of alot more than BII, that means if BID.COM had a prediction multiple on gross sales of 1600 as does EBAY, BID.COM share value would be what today.???? US$_________/share????. Lets hope BID.COM get's 1/2 as lucky as EBAY did.!!!!
