Sorry to hear you have no power, but I am happy you are comfortable.

Of course you are right that no Republican could survive what Clinton has. It is a combination of factors that contribute to this:

1. The press would never let up if Clinton were a Republican. It is a joke that they give press coverage to guys like Dershowitz (who is very bright) and the like who admit they are avid supporters but when they cover the opposition too often they do not pick very articulate people or extremists. Only recently have we been hearing the voice of Bill Bennett. George Will, we only hear on ABC. Geraldo, would be terrified to have Will on his show.

2. Democrats are better at playing the political game. I can't account for this but I have observed that with a few exceptions republicans seem to be politically impaired.

Witness, letting Barr be their spokesman. I don't like Clinton very much but it is sure hard to like Barr.
