Yes. I expected a hatchet job in the usual 60 minutes style. Guess if that was it, the target was Gates and Microsoft not McNealy and Sun. Gave McNealy time to make his points and seemed friendly. Amazing. Can't hurt. Chaz

I thought the show was great. I've always wanted to see what one of those big cool SUN servers looked like. He got several points across...the main one "you send e-mail at CBS and it goes through a Sun server to arrive at its destination." There was a good visual to accompany what he was saying. Well, all this saying that people use SUNW equipment constantly and just don't know it. Same point made about Java.
Points for SUNW no doubt. Lesley Stahl seemed under his spell.
Later.

Hi Eric-

As a SUNW shareholder, I sure enjoyed 60 Minutes tonight! A lot of people watch thins program. I agree that the segment could be good for SUNW the next few weeks.

What I'd like to know is where those SUNW commercials are shown and on what stations. I have never seen one out here near the Atlantic.

Lynn

eric, Scott has what it takes to surprise the world. this is the same way Bill Gates took on IBM. Histroy repeats again. execpt MSFT (which i own also) will survive. It does not have to be one or the other and i belive both companies will be sucessful.

scott is not "after" bill gates, he just does not want to be squished by the giant.
