j,

IMHO Dividend alone Deswell is worth 12x (8.5%) at a minimum and that puts it in the $12.75 -13.00 range. Based on minimal earnings, above 20. If this were a US company, well over 30.

We've had numerous changes in the last month or so - nearly all of them positive. The yen is now below 115 and showing indications of more strength against the $US due to the $EURO. US an European consumer demand remains high. China has passed numerous tax incentives for companies like Deswell and is now putting forth new ones to promote export growth. Most Asian companies are having cash flow problems and cannot grow to meet demand, many will discontinue operations.

Most of the concerns we had a year ago are disappearing. 1999 should be a very good year.

FWIW,
Ron
