Go to school or Learn to set type So I gather you are suggesting to the younger readers that you personally recommend not being a typesetter because it is boring. I have sworn that my kids will never have to use a typewriter if I can afford it. We have all seen this Press hard, you are making three copies Add this one to the list of not seen but there Type, you are making seven copies

CB, Fortunately, I never had to actually set type. But the job that got me into the computer biz was with a company call Information International Inc. (Triple-I). They made electronic pre-press systems for newspapers and magazines, including those photo-typesetters and laser typesetters. It was always fun going into a heavily unionized house with boxes that replaced the type setters. A couple of years after I was there, a Macintosh could do everything that a million dollar system could do. JXM
