Short MSFT & CSCO?!? And anyone who has a cable modem knows ATHM is on the right track! While YHOO & AMZN could easily get whacked 50% in a week, they'll probably be up huge for the year (again).

Why short MSFT? That's a powerful trend to fight....

For anyone who wants to short the big techs - MSFT, CSCO, LU, etc. - the XLK AMEX SPDR in technology is mostly made up mostly of these mammoths. I plan to use it in market downturns as an "affordable" short instead of the $100+ direct shares.

So when are you starting the new thread, Roger?

This will again prove to be a horrible short list for 99, although the loss might not be four digits.

MSFT, CSCO, although overvalued, are sector leaders with bright future. Short, no no. I can never understand AMZN, but this is a monster, and I don't expect the issue to finish 99 in negative return.
ATHM, like other posts mentioned, has a great technique...just like RMBS, stock overvalued, but the technique is there. I would rather short pure crappy issues.

I am surprised that DELL & AOL are absent from the list. I am long all these issues currently with the exception of AMZN & YHOO!.
