...and of course Boeing has a lot more
going on than commercial aircraft...space
station, cruise missles I think. I obviously
do not know enough about BA to judge...but
I do think it was crappy of them to announce
layoffs, and they always do it before Christmas.
Layoffs--first they cant get enough workers,
then the lay them off. Lame. And I don't know
why they bought Douglas. Also, they needed to
stop farting around with the 737...they shuld
have pulled workers off those lines and just
stopped taking orders, and moved folks over
on to the triple 7. 737 is low profit. I mean
why take orders you cant fill on a low profit
plane. Geeze, they could have sat back, relaxed
and raised the price instead of all this market
share hubris...in the end you cant compete with
the airbus subsidies...so why not just reward
your shareholders with profit...keep your
employement steady and let a few orders go by
the wayside.

My rant is finally done.
