Incorrect again. The average newbie investor doesn't even know what the term "market cap" means, all they know is the per share value. As far as they know, IBM at 180 equals Amzn at 180. You must understand that the investors entering the market now have absolutely no comprehension of fundamentals at all. None. Zero. And that, my friend, is why stocks split.
