DISCLAIMER:
I am a rabid Buffalo Bills and Sabres (NHL) fan!
SUBJECT:
Bills getting hosed time and again by officials.
The New England game is well known, everyone agrees Bills should have won. Testaverde is given a TD when he shouldn't have been; Result is that Buffalo is buried much further down in the standings than they should have, forcing them to play on unfriendly turf. Playing in Buffalo is a huge advantage.
Against Miami, here are a few calls which hurt them - Donovan Greer called for pass interference, where the official threw the flag WAY late, Gabe Northern nicking a Marino pass, then tapping his helmet and being called with an absurd roughing the passer call (5 yards, auto. first down at the Bills' 4), of course Reed was in the end zone, then he's ejected and called for fifteen. He should have been ejected and penalized for what he did, granted, but he also should have been given a TD in the first place.
Meanwhile that good sport Jimmy Johnson throws a box of Flutie Flakes on the floor and has his players stomp on it after their victory. Never mind that Doug is trying (and succeeding) raising funds for a most worthy cause in sales of the cereal.
The Pack was also hosed big time. Rice obviously fumbled, and the Pack, not the Niners, should be advancing.
Instant replay - we need it NOW!

re: instant replay

Seattle might not have made it, for they had some calls in their favor during the season:

1) "simultaneous catch/interception" which went their way at SD
2) "roughing the passer" which kept drive alive to beat Tenn

A team has got to be really good on certain days to survive these refs.

The owners are too cheap to vote for it because it means 12 cameras at every game. They're broadcasting "lesser" games with as few as 4 cameras as it is.
