Michael,

I believe the next Republican nominee has to be committed to going into the inner city and telling people there why it is in their best interest to vote Republican and get off the liberal plantation. One good issue is schools. In the school issue we have the Unions versus Black kids. So far Black leadership has come down on the side of Unions. Now, if that isn't something to be confronted head on I do not know what is.

Let me give you an example. My daughter attended an all girl Catholic High School within easy range of the inner city. A substantial number of girls who attended that school were black and non Catholic. Now, what is the benefits equation. Their parents somehow found the money for an education for their children. Did they learn religion - maybe - but they did learn things like scienc, math and english. Oh what a horror, to learn they had to be exposed to of all things RELIGION.

Well, these girls are on their way to being productive members of society. Had they been sentenced to inner city schools - who knows.
No institution, including education, is efficient if it is a monopoly.

So, I say go into the inner city and challenge the status quo. Failure to do this is foolish. Challenge black leaders to show they are more concerned for their people than protecting Bill Clinton at all costs. Hey Maxine, are you listening?
