I have just discovered this feature of the S.I., although I have been a member since May of this year----mostly for investor info.

My husband and I have owned a 300 Benz sedan since l975 (garage kept) and were told that when we were ready to sell it to look into selling it back to the Germans.... Apparently most of the cars of this era were sold overseas because Germany was still in the process of economic recovery. Now at 76, my husband has decided that we only need to keep one car and this one should be sold. We find it difficult to park (people keep stealing things off of it---hood ornament, fog light, etc.) in any degree of safety, and it should now enjoy life as a touring auto. Does anyone out there have a lead as to how you go about doing this? Incidentally, the ornament was not stolen (he tried), and the fog light was replaced with the correct original. This car still draws loving stares......Always maintained by both a German and Polish Mechanic schooled at Benz and all maintenance records have been kept. Anybody out there have a clue?

Grandmere......living in the mountains. The auto is a l972 model and it has beautiful grained wood details and leather on the inside -- Dove Gray in color....and of course, beautiful chrome radiator and trim.

Need help on this...
