i'm glad those sites have been useful to you, gypsy. it sounds to me like you are systematically (no pun intended) figuring out your problems. that's neat. please keep sharing what you have learned, because as you can see, all of us here need help! :)

i'll repost the win98 link, as it seems to be fully loaded with rich info. winmag.com

regarding the dual monitors, i've learned that it can be done in win95 using appian cards, at a cost of about $389 per port (yikes). so of course i'm leaning towards win98. it's a little discouraging to keep hearing about all these win98 glitches, but we're living on the cutting edge of technology and there's plenty of good that goes with it all!

gypsy, let us know if that win98 link leads you to any skinny on the power management angle, k?
