Good morning, Lyn. BVSN would have to move to $33 intraday today and not have a chart notation in O's at $27 in order to qualify as a Low Pole pattern. Recall that it's a 50%+ retracement of the previous descending O column. BVSN meets all the characteristics of a low pole except for the + part (of course, there's no guarantee that Friday's action will cause a chart notation after today's trading).
In a Bull market, low poles work out pretty well. When the market is bearish, not so well. Michael Burke likes the low pole formation for mutual fund p&f charts best. Aby makes a case for multiple low poles as being a good indicator of accumulation.
