Santiago,

Memory banks quick check and I came up with this verse from Matthew 9
15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
I've been doing a study on the topic and I believe it is pertinent still as found in Isaiah 58 in particular vs 6 regarding spiritual warfare.
Will look at it again as applicable specifically to the age of grace.

Still have to work in this weather like it or not. Once you hit minus 20 it doesn't make much difference how much colder it gets I find.

Santiago,

Acts 13
1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers: as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the terarch, and Saul.
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

Also Acts 10:30 14:23 27:33 & I Corinthians 7:5 II Cor. 6:5 & 11:27
the latter differentiates between hungering and fasting as per Paul.

I think it is very applicable for the age of grace. I'm still learning on the subject and am interested in any thoughts.

John
