Fixed is relative or Sirius would make a good Pole Star also, don't you think. If I catch your drift, you think it might be a good idea to turn OFF the Orion projector unit if a person was studying that particular area of the night sky with a telescope. But what fun would it be if little kids never got to see the Great Bear.
