Technologyguy, Once you have so much money, you might get more interested in making a name for yourself. The general public does not know of Paul Allen but they sure know of Bill Gates.

Paul Allen reminds me of Steve Wozniak, the other founder of Apple. I don't think he is as sharp a businessman as BG (or Steve Jobs, for that matter). He seems quite content with what he has and is more interested in having a good time, which is not necessarily a bad thing :) IMHO, Paul Allen was extremely lucky to have met BG and gone into business with him. I don't know if he would have done as well were it not for BG.
